IPR GHANA PRESIDENT INAUGURATES NEW STUDENT CHAPTER AT UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, WINNEBA

On Thursday, August 15th, the President of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana, Madam Esther Cobbah, officially inaugurated a new student chapter at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW). The event marks a significant milestone in the promotion of public relations ethics and values among the next generation of communication professionals.

In her address, she congratulated and applauded the department of strategic communication led by the Prof. Mavis Amo-Mensah, Head of the Department of Strategic Communications, and Prof. Albert Agbesi Wonyo, Dean of the School of Communication for their dedication and commitment to advancing the principles of public relations within the academic community.

The IPR Ghana President urged the newly elected leaders of the student chapter to embrace hard work, maintain accountability, and fully utilize the opportunities available through the IPR, particularly in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

She also appreciated Mr. Arik Karani, President of the African Public Relations Association, and Ms. Ivy Heward-Mills, Head of the IPR Ghana Student Chapter Committee, whose presence underscored the importance of the occasion for gracing the event.

She noted that with the launch of this new chapter, IPR Ghana continues to strengthen its mission of nurturing future public relations professionals.
