#peat compost and peat-free compost
In the Crop Production module, our class and instructor conducted two plant trials with the Ipomoea Batatas and Ivy Geranium species. We meticulously monitored the development of each plant across three different compost types: Melcourt peat-free compost (identified by a white label), John Innes peat-free compost (identified by a blue label), and Sinclair peat compost (identified by a yellow label). We closely tracked the growth of both plants, measuring their height and leaf count on a weekly basis, and recorded the data to understand better the impact of each compost type on the plant growth. This allowed us to observe the specific changes and differences in each plant's growth and better understand the effects of different compost types on plant development.
