As promised, today we are highlighting our special Excellence Awards Winners who were recognised at the Gala Dinner at the Annual Convention and Exhibition.

The winners of IPM 2015 People Excellence Awards are:

  • Business Leader of the Year – Sindiswa Nhlumayo – Executive Manager: Centre for Maritime Excellence, SA Maritime Safety Authority
  • HR Director of the Year – Judith Nompumelelo Nzimande – General Manager HR, RBCT
  • HR Practitioner of the Year – Sello Masabelele – Group Learning, Growth and Development Manager, Liviero Group of Companies
  • Emerging HR Practitioner of the Year – Cecilia Maselana – HR Specialist, Total South Africa


  • HR Team of the Year – HR Information Systems, University of Johannesburg
  • President's  Award – Tumelo Mokwena; General Manager HR, Transnet Freight Rail
  • IPM Pioneers & Pillars Award Recipient, Nadia Thomson. Another Pioneers & Pillars Award Recipient, Marius Pheiffer was awarded in absentia.
  • IPM Branch of the Year - KZN Branch
  • Student Chapter of the Year –  Tshwane University of Technology.

The Awards play a key role in our HR and business communities.
