IPL 2024 begins today: Star Sports onboards 15 sponsors
The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League begins today with a clash between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the former’s home ground in Chennai. Official broadcaster Star Sports has roped in 15 sponsors for the tournament so far. Sources say the broadcaster is in the process of signing a few more sponsors before the tournament begins.
BJP ropes in McCann Worldgroup & Scarecrow for creative duties: Report
The Bharatiya Janata Party has roped in agencies McCann Worldgroup and Scarecrow M&C Saatchi to lead its creative advertising account for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 elections, according to a news report. The two agencies bagged the account after competing with over a dozen agencies.
Navneet Kumar Sehgal named Chairman of Prasar Bharati
Navneet Kumar Sehgal, Former IAS officer of UP Cadre, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Prasar Bharati Board. He belongs to Chandigarh and holds a B.Com. degree along with a C.A.C.S. Certificate of Proficiency in French. According to the official order, Sehgal will serve the post for three years or until he attains the age of 70, whichever is earlier.

The Central Bureau of Communication has spent close to Rs 38.5 crore over the past six months, mostly to popularise the Modi government’s schemes ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, data obtained from Google Ads Transparency Centre reveals.
