Iphone or Android .. after a week...

I'm using Android devices for over 7 years now.

I had iphone in the past, but since Android came up i switched to Android.

It was bad at the beginning, android was like an old robot compare to the gentle smooth iphone, but now after a while Android became a very nice, strong and smooth device.

There are always different opinions about which is better, the android phones or the legend iphone.

I must say that i'm an Android developer but i also familiar with iphone dev (objective-c as well as swift).

After many years that i used to say that iphone is bad and i'm not talking about the device but about the system that is so closed, i decided to give it another try (After all there are so many people that using iphone and addicted to it so much).

So i bought an iphone x and lived with it for a week.

One week ! - Thats the time that took me to run back to my Galaxy Note 8.

I can't say i haven't enjoy the iphone because i really did, but...

Iphone is still close and not clean of bugs as people use to think...

My conclusions are:

Iphone is an amazing device with beautiful ui (user interface).

It is a very strong, fast, enjoyable phone if your'e using simple and common functionality.

The new gestures that Apple added are very nice.

Face recognition works very well.

It is a nice phone after all.

but...

When it come to real hard work iphone has a way to go before it will be able be compareble to Android.

Small things becoming complicated on iphone.

For instance, play sound files - there are not many formats that supported by iphone.

Another example is setting a custom ringtone - requires a third part app.

Everything has to go via iTunes.

Iphone cannot be used as a storage

Those are only a few simple things that shouldn't be that complicated - but they are.

Apple recently added a folder so user can see actual files. That's a good and useful thing (on Android it was there from day one), but still not enough.

Bluetooth connection has bugs. From my experience when iphone connected to my car every couple of minuted the other side of the call couldn't hear my voice for about 30 second. This happened almost every time i tried to make or get a call (never happened on Android).

Areas that LTE network is working just fine on Android devices (tried multiple devices) are no signal or very low signal on iphone x.

I feel like the iphone is very nice device, and the ui is very inviting but if someone needs a real hard worker device don't think twice - go for an Android.

The Android system making your day by day life easier.

It is almost like your personal laptop everything reachable and accessible unlike the iphone.

If you are a very basic user you may find iphone simple to use but i would give Android a try because as of now even though both platform becoming closer (Android closing the system with too many permissions and more things that much more closed to developers now, and ios becoming a little bit more open and Apple adding mor abilities to the iphone)

I would definitely recommend Andorid.

Last point i'll mention is the price which is extremely unreasonable.

The iphone x is so much more expensive then it should be.

You can find tons of Android devices in 25% of the iphones price and they will do more then the iphone.
