IPAF MIDDLE EAST Review 2021

Jason Woods, IPAF Middle East & South Asia Regional Manager

By the end of 2021, the Middle East have trained over 10,000 MEWP operators through a network of accredited training centres, showing that the training programme is starting to take form.

All in all, a great accomplishment allowing more MEWP/ MCWP operators to be competent whilst operating this type of equipment.

IPAF membership developed at a rapid pace, bringing in new members to join our existing membership. IPAF's safety goals and objectives have always been strong, and it continues to grow and assist the industry from manufacturers, suppliers, and end-users. With the pandemic still active in many regions, challenges were still in the light. IPAF training centres adapted to their needs and stepped forward to help the industry, ensuring that contractors and MEWP users remained safe.

The development of ePAL was a significant step forward for MEWP users to have additional access to safety data. After each student has been trained, they simply log in and receive safety information while also filling out their digital logbook. Increasing the level of interaction with operators and safety management.?

2021, IPAF has launched a new membership category for HSE professionals, which is a great way for you to remain up to date with the latest information and guidelines in the area of powered access. Developing knowledge is followed by access to all publications.
