IP Global Artificial Intelligence Platform launched

I am so proud that IP Australia have developed and launched another global game changer with a secure and scalable platform providing the capability for access to global cutting edge IP related Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) tools and services.

The new platform IP Global AI Network known as IP GAIN, is like an app store for digital capabilities including AI/ML offerings to be made available. The platform will significantly reduce duplicated effort through increased collaboration and co-developed services. This will support improved capability of domestic and international partners, and enhanced quality through common and consistent use of global AI and advanced machine learning practices. It will also provide an incredible opportunity to provide a range of players in the global ecosystem better opportunities to contribute and access to these types of capabilities.

Powered by AWS cloud capability and developed by our incredible IP Australia technology team in approximately 12 weeks, this platform provides another foundational piece to accelerate our strategic vision through leveraging smart technology and leveraging the power of the clever IP community. We are already successfully trialling the capability with the UKIPO and we look forward to working and sharing with others over time.

I'm excited by the significant transformative power of this platform and how it will positively contribute to the Australian and global IP outcomes. I'm also hopeful that this approach has the potential to be a model to be replicated in other sectors/industries eg collaboration between Federal and State governments of common machine learning capability to significantly accelerate development, enhance consistency, drive connected government, reduce duplication of effort and deliver cost effective solutions.
