IoT Smart Devices To Simplify Things
Finally: A Way To Label Myself Smart!
There's a wide variety of smart devices available to consumers today, from wearable fitness trackers to home surveillance systems. That begs the question: What is a smart device? Smart devices are electronics embedded with sensors that wirelessly gather and send data to a source. Smart devices are typically more focused on the consumer market of IoT (Internet of Things).
Since the beginning of the IoT, companies and entrepreneurs have approached investors with new and innovative ideas that solve everyday problems. These ideas evolved into innovative and exciting companies, products, and services seen today. I'm going to discuss several IoT products that are well put together and provide important services and feature great product designs.
Tile
Tile keeps track of what matters. If you are like me, there is one morning in the week that I cannot find my keys or phone. I walk out the door and realize I had set my phone down somewhere in my house. Tile allows you to locate your lost phone with the press of a button; it then tells your phone to ring, even if it was on silent. Tile also allows you to find the device itself, whether it's in your laptop bag, on your key chain or in your wallet, you can use your phone to see visually where you've left it. Using Bluetooth, you can locate the item within a 100-foot radius. Outside of that, you can tap into the world’s largest lost and found community through Tile to help find your things.
August Smart Lock Pro
Thinking about the security of your home can be stressful, but August offers many features that can improve your daily life. The Smart Lock Pro offers auto locking when you leave, auto unlocking when you approach, monitoring that your door is closed, connectivity to other devices and many more features. One of the standout features is the creation of virtual keys for your family and guests for their phone. The door lock is not conventionally considered when thinking of upgrading the hardware around your home, but now you can realize the full potential of your smart home through an interconnected ecosystem.
Joule, Sous Vide
Say goodbye to overcooked meals with Joule. The worst part of my week is the moment I get home from work, prepare all of my cooking ingredients, follow my recipe exactly and then forget to monitor the time I spent cooking. I end up with an especially charred steak, a smoky kitchen and an overall dissatisfaction with my cooking ability. Joule simplifies cooking through Sous Vide, a technique chefs have been using for many years. Sous vide is a technique for cooking a meal at a consistent temperature in a water bath. Joule allows you to sous vide beef, pork, chicken, salmon and other proteins through its connected app. Joule is one of the best ways to cook for consistent results and a stress-free experience.
