Manifesting IoT and Edge-to-Cloud technologies for the good of people and the earth is a virtuous intention. But how and where is this being done, and is it efficacious? What are the use cases with the most promise? Join Dr. Tom Bradicich, HPE Fellow, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, as he reviews real world initiatives that are affording both business value and sustainable consumption. He’ll be joined by his special guest, Fernando Machin, founder and CEO of Boxes, who will demonstrate live how IoT and cloud technologies are creatively used to help people and the environment during the consumption of everyday products.
Join us for the third of four in our 2023 series: “Industry Movers and Shakers”. Throughout the year, you’ll continue hearing from women who are illuminating IoT across industries. In this session, thought leaders will explore real-world use cases focused on transforming Manufacturing and Energy. Join us to learn how Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Computer Vision (CV) play a pivotal role in this transformation.
How can we impact worker safety in a meaningful way using IoT? SAS and SoftServe have combined their expertise to address this challenge facing many different industries where the very essence of the work is dangerous. Leveraging IoT, AI/ML and computer vision, we can detect and notify supervisors when the worker’s behavior may endanger themselves or others. Our presentation shall illustrate the problem and solutions along with a vision for expanding capabilities to enable predictions along with improved detection of risky behavior in an industrial setting.
Seawolf is a leading full-cycle water management company based in Midland, Texas, specializing in water-sourcing solutions to the oil industry in the Permian Basin. The challenge: Seawolf faced several challenges monitoring and controlling water pumps and accurately assessing pit levels and flow rates. Existing third-party systems were expensive, inflexible, and required constant support. They needed a comprehensive solution to optimize their water management processes. The solution: ClearBlade provided Seawolf with an innovative IoT solution to address its water management challenges. ClearBlade Edge to monitor and control pumps for inventory levels, discharge pressure, and water flow rates. Pump management to remotely manage each pump’s state, ensuring efficient and optimized operations. Remote control to remotely start, stop, idle, and adjust pump speeds. Business rules aligned precisely with Seawolf’s operational requirements. Auditing of user commands and activities. User interface customization minimizing training and adoption challenges for Seawolf’s workforce.

Generative AI is a significant component of IntelliTwin platform for smart digital twin-based facility management, which was presented at the IoT Slam Live 2023 in June this year. The platform plans to leverage Generative AI to enable specific scenarios and improve their performances. This time Intellias would like to demonstrate ideas how a power of Generative AI on the Edge devices can be used for even quicker response time and more effective execution – the concept we are working on to improve IntelliTwin platform.?
Deploying real-time analytics projects involves a unique set of challenges, each of which needs to be addressed properly in order to build a solid foundation upon which to grow. Using a project deployed using SAS and ClearBlade, I’ll discuss each challenge and related solution, as well as detail a variety of use cases in different subject areas which can be supported using this approach.
NIST’s Zero Trust Architecture is the bold and unapologetic approach to establishing trust in complex systems and systems of systems. By adopting the principles of ZTA, organizations can strengthen their security posture and take control of the ever-evolving digital landscape. Furthermore, it gives companies a framework that can be adapted to future threats–even ones that haven’t envisioned yet. As cyber threats continue to escalate in sophistication and frequency, implementing ZTA is quickly becoming an undeniable necessity for survival in the wild digital jungle. This talk will cover: Traditional security models – perimeter defenses and air gaps and why they are falling short. Principles of Zero Trust. Benefits of a Zero Trust Architecture
Decarbonization pledges have taken hold, first in Europe, and increasingly, globally.? Also known as Net-Zero, this phenomenon is at the heart of achieving a sustainable business.? The groundbreaking work towards sustainability in the mid- 1990s stalled.? We didn’t know it then, but we were waiting for technology to catch up with the ambitious aims of sustainability: putting people and planet on the corporate agenda directly alongside profit.? With breakthroughs in Digitalization, including IoT, Machine Learning, etc., we are finally in a position make real progress towards decarbonization and realize sustainability.
Over-the-road logistics present multifaceted challenges in today’s fast-paced world. The complex landscape of transportation is influenced by evolving challenges and the rapid advancement of technology trends. This webinar aims to provide a thorough analysis of these prevailing challenges and an overview of the current technological trajectories shaping the industry. We will then delve deep into Link Labs’ innovative logistics solution. This robust solution encapsulates three primary strategies: ‘Surround the Truck’ for comprehensive vehicular management, “Surround the Cargo” for advanced asset tracking, and “Surround the Warehouse” for enhancing warehouse operations by integrating Link Labs’ dedicated on-site infrastructure. This integrated approach promises to revolutionize the logistics domain by providing comprehensive, tech-driven solutions for contemporary challenges.
We are traveling in our electric vehicle (EV) to reach our workplaces/homes to attend the insightful IoT Slam Conference online. How do we want our travel experience to be??The answer is a seamless user experience in which we drive, charge our car at the charging station, and reach our destination on time. But is such a happy and worry-free EV experience always possible? Are we future-ready to support the millions of electric vehicles projected in the next few years in most countries? Today, the transportation departments, charge point operators, and fleet charging owners depend on a secure, reliable, and scalable EV charging infrastructure to deliver a sustainable future. They need solutions that are simpler to manage, have high operational visibility, and are unaffected by non-temperature-controlled outdoor use. Connectivity solutions that provide central management and real-time monitoring of connected EV charge points, video surveillance, vehicle, and pedestrian safety monitoring, and secure remote issue resolution, can meet the current demands and facilitate the way forward. Electric vehicles powered by clean energy are pivotal in lowering greenhouse gas emissions. IoT makes this possible by connecting and managing the EV Charging infrastructure and providing essential connectivity for assets at a mass scale. Let’s embark on the journey to evolve from today’s isolated deployments to secure, connected electric charging deployments to support the transportation needs of today and the future.
