IoT Gets Real in 2017

The start of a new year is also a good time to analyze the trends that will affect businesses in the months ahead. Before 2016 came to a close, I had the chance to talk with Telco Transformation about what IoT will look like in 2017.
For example, this year we expect businesses to stop asking whether or not they’ll adopt IoT, but instead look at how they can fully leverage it. IoT applications will also start to be bundled together with other essential IT components such as cloud, mobile, and analytics. This holistic approach will provide integrated solutions for customers and help improve security as IoT suppliers will work to manage and minimize the risks.
