IoT Geeks - Sep'2017 Internet of things (IoT) with NodeMCU Part-1 highlights
Last 24-September-2017, Sunday IoT Geeks hosted "Internet of things (IoT) with NodeMCU Part-1" workshop at IITM Madras Research Park. IoT Geeks and ResPro Labs together hosted this event. We did teach participants NodeMCU skill. The workshop content focused on Introduction to IoT, Embedded Systems in IoT, ESP8266, Node MCU, Configuring Node MCU, Working with Digital Pins, etc
09:30 am: Sooraj who is a software consultant from ThoughtWorks helped to host this event. Participants were slowly getting into the venue. Also IoT Geeks & ResPro Labs teams reached thoughtworks office
10:15 am: Registration & Verification taken care by IoT Geeks core team.
10:30 am: Sambhav who is the IoT Geeks co-organizer started giving an overview about IoT Geeks community and its purpose. Later he did handover to Shabarinath to kick-off the workshop
10:45 am: Shabarinath and Netaji gave an overview about collaboration between IoT Geeks and ResPro Labs.
11:00 am: The sworkshop kicked-off by Shabari. He covered IoT overview then Intro about Node MCU ESP8266, Configuration and pin diagram explanation: 1)What is Digital 2)Basic programming concepts and 3) How machine language is formed etc.
12:15 pm: Tea Break - We arranged tea & biscuits for participants
12:30 pm: Participants were asked to try 3 different hands-on using digital pins
01:30 pm: Lunch Break
02:30 pm: After lunch break the participants tried few hands-on using analog signal. analog to digital signal, digital to analog signal. The final hands-on using LDR Sensor
04:30 pm: Shabari talked about real time use cases. Also Devaraj who was the Software architect who comes to our workshop regularly gave an Intro About Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Machine Learning (ML), Virtual Reality (VR) to participants
05:20 pm: Q&A Session & Wrap-up with team photo.
