IoT Gateway DRC02 based on STM32MP15 is listed in AWS Partner Device Catalog

A success story made possible by strong partners: DH electronics, ST, AWS and Klika Tech.

Joint demo at embedded world conference 2022 in Nuremberg No less than four partners have worked closely together over the last few months to announce great news just in time for embedded world exhibition and conference 2022: the IoT Gateway by DH electronics based on STM32MP15 by ST setting up on Amazon’s IoT middleware AWS Greengrass 2.0 with the help of Klika Tech is now listed in the AWS partner device catalog. DH and AWS each set up a demo station at their booth in Nuremberg showing how the IoT gateway can be used for anomaly detection and were supported by Klika Tech and ST colleagues.

More information about the IoT Gateway The DRC02 IoT Gateway by DH electronics is a flexible, scalable platform that can be used as a development vehicle, reference design, or a final product depending on the needs of your end application. Based on the STM32MP153C from STMicroelectronics, the DRC02 is designed by ST Authorized Partner DH electronics. The innovative modular system allows for individual embedded solutions to be developed quickly and cost-effectively. Whether you want an off-the-shelf platform ready to go, or a reference to kick-off a fully customized design, the DRC02 powered by the STM32MP153C is the ideal place to start. Matching the respective application, the computing power can be determined by selecting the appropriate computer module. The DRC02 IoT Gateway supports all common network and industrial interfaces as well as optional extension modules for NBIoT/LTE, EnOcean, LON, and RS485 connectivity.

Anomaly Detection At The Edge Solution Accelerator by KlikaTech

3D printing: Anomaly detection with the help of STM32MP15 based IoT Gateway and AWS Greengrass wins IoT Edge Computing Excellence Award We mounted two accelerometers on the 3D printer, which relay their motion data via a multiplexer to both a Wireless Bluetooth and LoRA board in the form of two Nucleo boards from ST. The Bluetooth board transmits the motion data to the DRC02 IoT gateway, which runs the machine learning algorithm for anomaly detection of the 3D printer motion data. Here, due to the bandwidth limitation of LoRa, the anomaly detection is executed on the LoRa board and then the results are transmitted to the DRC02 IoT gateway. The machine learning algorithm was built using AWS Sagemaker, Sagemaker neo, and Cube.AI in data-collect mode. The anomalies are presented graphically via a 10" tablet connected to the AWS Cloud.

Anomaly Detection Fueled by Edge ML Models Determining the right anomaly detection solution is often a challenge and this is where ST Authorized Partner Klika Tech comes into play. Klika Tech collaborated with STMicroelectronics, DH electronics and AWS to develop a solution that finds actionable insights in collected data. This offering is based on an edge-to-cloud platform blueprint that lays out how ML models should run and is the core of the IIoT Anomaly Development solution accelerator that use ST microcontrollers to pre-process machine-level data at the edge for early anomaly detection. Built on a flexible architecture designed to pre-process data and detect equipment-level anomalies, the edge-to-cloud data collection and management solution accelerator developed by Klika Tech and ST runs tinyML at the edge to find abnormal behavior. Having readily addressed those integral early steps in the process, Amazon SageMaker then enables ML model training, and ensures ongoing ML model optimization at the edge by bringing Amazon SageMaker NEO into the fold. The visualization of sensor-to-cloud equipment performance including system fault evaluation and predictive analytics—is displayed on a Grafana dashboard. The example reference architecture can help visualize how this joint solution from DH electronics, Klika Tech, ST, and AWS can be applied to your anomaly detection or industrial equipment monitoring needs.
