IoT - Connect it all
I just got done planting like $400 worth of vegetable plants in my back yard. Keeping plants alive in CO is a challenge with the hail, snow, wind, and general unpredictability of the weather.
I installed my Rachio IoT sprinkler system last week. This thing is pretty awesome as far as connected devices go. It works with my Amazon Echo and uses wether data in the cloud to adjust watering schedules. I just saw that Edyn has come out with a connected device for the garden that monitors moisture, sunlight, as well as nutrition (I need this thing).
This is the IoT world, and If it can be connected, it will be. Now I just need a connected rake so I can brag about my raking power.

7 年No doubt. Have that rake measure not only wattage but also give it some sensors that can detect leaf volume or mass raked and pull data from the sprinkler system to adjust for moisture content, so come fall we can brag about our yardwork using some measurable, quantitative ammo instead of these questionable and often spurious October claims of "bagfulls raked this weekend." That's always been such a crappy metric, and we could finally kill it with IoT.

7 年This is great! This was the first year I really experienced the severity and consequences of the climate changes. It is good to know we have conscious and talented folks out there trying to solve for it.

7 年IoT, it's truly everywhere! And my guess is we've seen nothing yet.
