Apple's recent privacy updates, including iOS 17 and 17.0.1, demonstrates a strong commitment to user data protection.

Microsoft AI team's oversight results in 38 TB data exposure

Microsoft's AI division recently experienced a 38 TB data leak, unintentionally exposing a vast amount of sensitive information, including passwords and internal messages.

  • UK-US data bridge act passed

The UK-US Data Bridge, effective from October 12, 2023, has been established to facilitate data transfers between the UK, US, and EU. UK Secretary of State for Science, Innovation, and Technology Michelle Donelan, laid out regulations in the UK Parliament for this bridge, ensuring privacy standards for UK personal data.

Organizations in the UK can transfer personal data to US entities certified under the "UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework" without additional safeguards.
