iON Teammates Unite to Tackle Food Insecurity at Wrexham Foodbank
iON Consultants

Today, four members of our team spent the morning volunteering at the Wrexham Foodbank, one of our chosen charities. With a shared commitment to making a positive difference, Pete, Helen, Cat and Callum dedicated their time to sorting, dating and packing donations destined to help local households in need.
Wrexham Foodbank is a symbol of solidarity and support for individuals and families facing food insecurity. The charity provides enough nutritionally balanced emergency food to last three days for local people in crisis. It operates as part of a national network of foodbanks, supported by Trussell , which works to tackle poverty and hunger across the UK.
Pete, Helen, Cat and Callum quickly immersed themselves in the tasks at hand. Together, they sorted through a variety of donations of food and toiletries, ensuring that each item was suitable for distribution. The team efficiently assembled a total of 68 parcels, each destined for local families in need.
Reflecting on their experience, everyone expressed a deep sense of fulfilment and gratitude. "Volunteering at the Wrexham Foodbank has been a humbling experience," said Cat. "We are proud to be able to offer a helping hand and hope that our efforts make a difference to those facing the realities of the cost of living crisis."
At iON Consultants, we believe that no one should have to go to bed hungry or worry about where their next meal is coming from. Through our ongoing partnership with this invaluable charity, we can work towards a more equitable and compassionate society for all. Later this month, Richard and Vicky will be helping out at the food bank. If you would like to join us in supporting this important cause, please consider donating what you can via the Wrexham Foodbank website.
