Boundaries are the invisible lines we draw around ourselves to protect our physical, emotional, and mental well-being.? Boundaries foster healthy relationships with others. Understanding and controlling boundaries is essential for maintaining personal autonomy
There are five key aspects to boundaries:
Ownership: Each individual has ownership over their thoughts, feelings, and actions. It is taking responsibility for our choices
Control: Maintaining control over our own lives while respecting others' autonomy
Freedom: Grant the freedom to express our needs, desires, and emotions without fear of judgment or reprisal. Allowing for prioritize self-care and pursue passions without feeling guilty. Embracing boundaries liberates us from unhealthy expectations and enables living authentically.
Limits: Setting limits is a fundamental aspect of boundaries.? Establish clear guidelines for acceptable behavior and communication in relationships. Knowing when to say no and advocating for our needs and values
Protection: Serve as a protective barrier.? Shielding from harm and preserving our well-being. Enables identifying and responding to situations that threaten safety or violate rights. By asserting boundaries, establishes a sense of security and empower ourselves to maintain healthy relationships.
