In the past year alone, the maritime industry facilitated the transportation of over 11 billion tons of goods across the world's oceans. This staggering figure represents a lifeline for countries and industries, ensuring the availability of resources, the delivery of critical supplies, and the growth of international trade. In perspective, approximately 80% of global trade by volume and 70% by value is carried by ships. These maritime arteries are the conduits through which raw materials, energy resources, and finished products flow, driving economies and shaping our modern way of life.

On the other hand, oceans generate 50 percent of the oxygen we need,?absorb 25 percent of all carbon dioxide emissions,?and capture 90 percent of the excess heat generated by these emissions. And so, in today's maritime industry, we stand at a crossroads, but should not have to choose between progress and the planet.
