Investor Relations Presentation Tips: Analysts want you to cover this on your 1st slide
Hi?there!
Are you trying to figure out "how analysts think”??
We spoke to a few Analysts and analyst-turned-IROs and this is what we learned.
?Analysts don’t like you to beat around the bush.
They?don’t have the patience to go through your entire(!) presentation to find out what you’re trying to say.
Analysts expect to see “key messages” on your slide #1. This is not an “agenda” slide. Here, you give away the biggest takeaways you intend to share in this meeting.
This rule applies whether you’re meeting 1 on 1, running a quarterly earnings call, or at the beginning of an investor day.
Check out in the video above, why this is a good practice and share real “key messages” slides.
Let me know if I can help. We see so many decks where IROs miss out on being direct and “setting expectations upfront”. Perhaps, something worth thinking about for your next I-Day.
Thanks,
Harry
