Investment in TuNode Provider Program to drive adoption by business

The TuumIO Strategic Fund is pleased to announce a new round of investment in the TuNode Provider program with focus on driving adoption by businesses and attracting new operators to the program.

What is TuNode Provider Program?

TuNode provider program works such that individuals and organizations can operate their own TuNodes and run TuApps on these nodes securely and privately.

Those running their own TuNode (also known as TuNode Providers) can earn SOLVE tokens by “renting” their node for others who need to run TuApps. This makes TuNetworks safer, faster and run by the community instead of relying on cloud (such as Amazon, Google or Microsoft) or on datacentres which as under the centralized control of large companies.

What has been done to-date?

Thanks to prior investments by TuumIO Strategic Fund, the following milestones have been achieved:

• Multiple node types to fit available computing power: From lightweight nodes for daily tasks to high-performance datacentre nodes, the program supports a wide range of computer configurations and operating systems.
• Reputation System: Nodes earn reputation over time, which is recorded transparently on the Blockchain and amplifies earnings. The TuNode reputation is an innovative way to boost earning potential and achieve high network trust.
• Earning SOLVE Rewards: Participants earn SOLVE based on node type, reputation, and completed transactions. TuNodes make you money while you sleep.
• Easier Onboarding: Anyone can easily set up one or more TuNodes by running a script on their computer, laptop or serve. You can easily manage the TuNode(s) and collect all earnings in your TuumIO.

The TuNode Provider Program is all about decentralization, security, privacy, and self-custody (of data, assets, applications and computing power.) By allowing users to own and operate nodes, the program reduces reliance on centralized systems and cloud environments, and creates a global, resilient, community-owned and operated infrastructure.

What is the purpose of this investment?

The purpose of the investment is to drive participation in the TuNode Provider Program by businesses such as doctors, accountants, lawyers, and other professionals who have offices with network, electricity and computers.

With more and more people working remotely and offices being empty on many weekdays and every weekend, there is a lot of unused computer capacity in these offices.

The investment will fund channel marketing partnerships and programs and to conduct large scale outreach to these professionals. The channel program will offer incentives and rewards to run TuNodes on these idle computers and earn SOLVE.

Why is this important and why should I care?

Adoption and utility:

Web2 world still sees Web3/Blockchain/crypto as an outlier, something new and strange but not really useful in daily life and not really relevant to their business.

TuNode Provider Program is targeting a large audience of Web2 businesses in regulated industries such as healthcare and finance. The goal of this investment is to get a lot of Web2 businesses to participate in a compelling and rewarding program that enhances data security, reduces operating costs and earns money for them and their businesses.

How much investment and when it will take effect?

We are investing 20M SOLVE tokens in the TuNode channel program and to activate key partners and vendors to enact this program asap. More investments in the channel program may be necessary based on the results.
