Over the last twelve months despite the COVID issues globally, we have seen an increased demand for investment properties, both commercial and residential, in particular unbroken freehold blocks of flats of 3+ units. Having sold a number of blocks of flats across East & West Sussex ranging from blocks of two units, a portfolio of ten properties and four blocks of fourteen flats.
Some of these blocks have had further development potential with the relaxation of planning legislation recently and others have been bought for the rental return which in some cases also offered potential for improvement.
Mixed use buildings which have commercial on ground floor with residential upper parts often have scope for re-development and this is something which again has a strong demand currently. We have sold buildings in Brighton, Hove, Bognor & Littlehampton which are now undergoing redevelopment.
Knighton Chambers in Bognor Regis is currently undergoing redevelopment into 15x residential units, another property on Aldwick Road, Bognor Regis a mixed use property is currently in planning stages along with the other projects.
Finding the right buyer who has the ability to get a purchase across the line, without experiencing any problems during the course of the sale can sometimes be difficult.
