Investment firms feel pressure to support supplier diversity

There are two things that I'm proud of that recently came to the forefront of my mind. First, I hit a health goal yesterday by running an entire mile without stopping. This is the first time that I've done this in many years and is part of my desire to put as much into maintaining my health as I do with advancing in my career. Yes, this accomplishment is very small in the grand scheme of things. But, most big dreams start with small steps.
This leads me to the second thing that I'm proud of, which is Tulsa's commitment to building a world-class Black business ecosystem. Between ACT House, TechStars Tulsa, and the Lightship Bootcamp, key stakeholders in the city have committed to Black wealth creation through startup entrepreneurship. The next step in this long-term plan is ACT House's upcoming demo day in Tulsa on Thursday, August 25th. If you're a VC or Black angel investor, please contact me. We want to do whatever we can to get you in the room so that we can show you the amazing things that are being built here in Tulsa.
