This is the beginning of The Investment Compass - from my book:

"For many years (I started investment counseling in 1968) I felt that there were four markets I needed to follow and understand how they behaved and, if at all, they were connected or correlated. 

The four markets were the US Stock Market, the US Bond Market, Energy and Gold. These four major global markets impact nearly every facet of our economy and global economies and I found a correlation among them.

It was in 2009, when I wrote my first edition of this book, that I had one of my ‘Aha moments’ while at home in my hot tub. I envisioned that my four major markets were like the four Principal Points of a compass – so I called my strategy ‘the Investment Compass’.

That was really the beginning of this book."
