Ben Graham (1894-1976) is considered by many to be the father of modern securities analysis. He emigrated to the US with his parents from England as a small child. He went on to teach securities analysis and investing at Columbia University and at the the New York Institute of Finance. With his colleague David Dodd he wrote and published the book Securities Analysis in 1934 and followed that with the Intelligent Investor in 1949. Some of his other accomplishments were running and managing a successful investment partnership from the 1920s through the 1950s and teaching many people who went on to become very successful Wall Street investors. Among them was Warren Buffett. Even today, Graham has a lot to teach any person interested in learning how to invest better. What do you think?
