Investing in our community, one heartbeat at a time

Looking for a different way to make a difference? Our blood donation campaign is another chance to be a hero. Just one act of kindness can have a life-saving impact.?
The first-aid training that empowers employees?

Led by a highly trained SMURD team and dedicated volunteers, the course provided a deep dive into essential first-aid techniques.?
Participants gained hands-on experience performing CPR, a life-saving procedure that maintains blood circulation and oxygen delivery to the brain until medical assistance arrives. The course also covered the Heimlich maneuver, a crucial skill for dislodging foreign objects obstructing airways and preventing suffocation.?
Beyond honing specific skills, the training emphasized the importance of remaining calm and assessing the situation carefully during an emergency. Participants learned valuable techniques for ensuring their own and the victim's safety while initiating appropriate first-aid measures.?
