Recently I had the privilege of presenting a program to the HR Bio Alliance on the Return on Investment (ROI) of Employee Training and Development. The session was filled with vibrant discussions and insights from an engaged group of human resource professionals.
At the start of our session, we surveyed the participants to learn what employee development programs are currently being implemented by the attendees’ organizations. It was encouraging to see that many companies are already investing in a variety of initiatives.
However, one area where we identified a significant gap was in training for C-Suite executives. Often, top leaders overlook training opportunities, raising the question: how can they continue to receive feedback and grow?
Here are a few recommendations for C-Suite training programs:
Center for Creative Leadership: This program comes highly recommended by many Executive Directors and Senior Leaders I have worked with who have found it to be an invaluable use of their time. Learn more here.

Renaissance Executive Forums: For ongoing support and peer development, I thoroughly endorse this organization. I’ve known Lee for four decades, and her dedication to supporting CEOs is remarkable. Her team — Donna, Josef, and Kathleen — are equally impressive in their commitment to fostering executive growth. Discover Renaissance Executive Forums.
Vistage: This nationally recognized program connects leaders with peers who share similar challenges. Though CEOs and senior executives often claim they lack the time for these programs, once they start, they seldom stop. The camaraderie and support they receive make the monthly commitment feel worthwhile. Explore Vistage here.
For small business owners, connecting with peers who understand your unique challenges is crucial. If you’re a C-Suite leader in a mid to large organization, consider your development options. Nothing compares to the value of receiving timely, respectful feedback from fellow leaders. If none of these programs are the right fit for your C-Suite, please give us a call.?Perhaps executive coaching will be the answer.
Investing in your growth not only benefits you, but also enhances your organization’s overall performance. Let’s keep the conversation going — how are you prioritizing development in your leadership journey?
