I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – you don’t have to be a Shark to create your own success! But you should be an active learner. I’m a huge advocate for continuing to progress, through reading, taking courses, networking – you get the idea!
Everything I’ve learned about business has been through failing, picking myself back up, and not making the same mistake twice.
Let me be clear -- there is no easy path to wealth, or financial freedom for that matter. Investment of any kind comes with risk. But a big part of creating your own success is understanding how to take advantage of market opportunities.
I’ve teamed up with my friend Neil Patel for a historic (and free!) online event.
The Angels & Entrepreneurs Summit is an online event where we talk about the basics of Angel Investing.
What most people don’t know is that thanks to a bold move from Congress, anyone has access to the kinds of deals that I’m used to seeing on Shark Tank. I’m talking about pre-IPO companies while they are still at the start up stage.
How many times have you wished you had been “in” on the ground floor of a big opportunity?
For example -
- You could’ve made a $50 bet on Amazon in those early days and walked away with $7 million.
- LinkedIn’s startup investors made 261,900% on their investment.
- eBay’s another example -- $50 in the early days would’ve become $52,550 in under a year!
But here’s the thing – not many people know HOW to get in on these opportunities, or HOW to evaluate them properly. Up until now, investing in startups has been kind of a mystery.
Neil and I talk about how that’s changed.

5 年Investing in start-ups can be a great thing. But do not be fooled, this is far riskier than buying stocks. As a micro shareholder, you have no say in company policy, nor do you have control over dilution. By the time the company takes off, your “share” will most likely be diluted to almost nothing.
