Investing in Equality 101

Your large cap S&P500 index fund is probably underweight women, but there is an easy fix

Beginning investors often start with low cost index funds. Experienced investors often keep them as core positions. Smart move. But, did you know the S&P underweights women CEOs versus men CEOs?? In fact, scrolling down the S&P by market cap, you wont find a female CEO until #27, AMD led by Lisa Su , representing 0.69% of the index.

While the 36 women CEOs led 7.2% of the S&P500 companies, they only represent 5.5% of the index by weight, thus underweight by 24%.

Want a little more female power in your portfolio? If you believe Blackrock's research, "Lifting Performance by Investing in Women," you can top it up with one simple trade. WCEO ETF , investing in women CEOs for performance, diversification and impact.

Here are the companies you could add: AMD Centene Corporation CDW The Hershey Company Nasdaq The Clorox Company Ventas, Inc. Essex Property Trust 塞拉尼斯 百思买 Alliant Energy Bath & Body Works Regency Centers Tapestry Franklin Templeton

These are valuable and liquid companies. All led by women.

Misconceptions about women in leadership are common, and the WCEO ETF is no exception

One of the most common misconceptions is that small ETFs are illiquid.? You can read about the Myth of Illiquidity in ETFs here, or read JPMorgan’s point of view, which debunks the illiquidity argument you may have heard. ETFs are only as illiquid as their least liquid security, which in the case of the WCEO ETF is Diamond Hill , with an average daily volume of over 14,000 shares. The WCEO ETF holds 230 shares.

Also incorrect is that the WCEO ETF is expensive.? The WCEO ETF is an active fund, not a passive index fund. There is nothing passive about investing in Women CEOs. According to Morningstar, "The firm’s relatively inexpensive fees on open-end and exchange-traded funds truly evince a firmwide commitment to minimizing costs and maximizing investors’ returns. The average net expense ratio of the firm’s funds falls within the second-cheapest quintile of firms."

Investing in women CEOs sends a message to Wall Street

Are you tired of the seemingly endless conversations about women’s empowerment?? Do you wish there was a simple way to impact women’s advancement in corporate America?

There is one thing that Wall Street listens to more than anything else.? The sound of money moving. ??Do they hear the sound women moving money to empower women?? Not by the AUM (Assets Under Management) of SHE, WOMN, EQUL, BKWO, FDWM and CDEI.? Collectively, the 7 gender-focused ETFs have less than $300 million.? Yet women control over $10 trillion of US household financial assets, and according to McKinsey, that will grow to $30 trillion by the end of the decade.?

Help send a message to Wall Street that you care about women in leadership. Top up that women CEO allocation today!
