Inventum Consulting were delighted to host the excellent Streisan Bevan at our breakfast Inclusion & Diversity event this morning at Lincoln’s Inn Fields, central London.

We had a great turnout and lots of engaging debate, before and after Streisan's presentation...

Streisan shared her insight and learnings from a decade as a senior leader at Facebook, leading diversity and inclusion in the London Tech function at FB. It was very interesting and there were some great takeaways that any business, large or small, can adopt to impact significant change.

What remains clear is that there isn’t a silver bullet when it comes to building inclusive businesses increasing workforce diversity – in my view progress comes from delivering against a considered, thoughtful and fluid strategic plan, designed specifically to meet the unique needs of your business, with carefully defined steps that build on one another and amplify in time across the organisation. It also requires, willingness, determination, investment and sheer hard graft.

Inclusion and diversity is not some HR side project – it’s a philosophy that should sit across all parts of a business, where everyone, from the most senior to the most junior staff members understand why it is a critical business imperative, what their personal responsibility is, and how they can impact change daily in everything they do.
