INTROSPECTION, REFLECTIONS & PROJECTIONS TO THE HORIZON

No. 7 is an optimal prime that represents completion & perfection.

To mark the past 7 perfect years of molding Fie-Consult from scratch with just a laptop and a vision of building a Pan African Transaction Advisory & Management Consulting Firm; I took the great climb to the Rooftop of Africa - Mt. Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa and the world's highest free standing mountain) & successfully summitted on the beautiful, bright & cloudless morning of 1st Jan 2023 at 7:40am EAT!

The challenging climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro was all synonymous with the labourius journey Fie-Consult has gone through over the past 7 years.

From the sudden rains in the misty, sloppy & hilly rainforest, the rough & rocky terrain on the scarcely vegetated & foggy moorland, the chilling stormy winds in the open & vast expanse of the alpine desert, and the biting freezing cold in the arctic ice climatic zone at Kibo on Kili; nothing could have mirrored the past 7 years of Fie-Consult much better.

However, not all was rough, tough, self-doubt, shivering & gnashing of teeth. Kili had some of the most epic views my eyes have ever seen! The mountain was spectacularly scenic with the changing climatic zones as you climb up. The experience on Kili was the best I've had so far in my mountaineering hobby! (No words can explain this; just go climb Kili!:)

Building Fie-Consult over the past 7 years has similarly given me joy, satisfaction and a deep sense of accomplishment; that only #HumansOfFie who have been part of the journey as insiders understand.

In the past 7 years, we have directly supported over 200 businesses in 13 countries across Africa. We have advised/structured investment deals worth more than USD 250 million; unlocking the much needed capital by businesses in Africa for them to scale their impacts within their countries and across borders.

Indirectly, we have interfaced with & supported more than 3,000 businesses through various business development programmes with local & international partners.

In the past 7 years at Fie-Consult, we #HumansOfFie have fought a good fight, we have finished the race and have kept the faith!

As we start the next phase of Fie-Consult in 2023, we have taken #BoldSmartSteps towards our vision; from our launchpad at the highest point in Africa - both literally & symbolically!

We are more focused & grounded and more experienced & networked. We are deeply skilled in our areas of expertise and brightly polished in our focus sectors. We the #HumansOfFie are the perfect symphony in Transaction Advisory & Management Consulting in Africa!

Over the next 7 perfect years at Fie-Consult, we narrow down to 4 main functions of Transaction Advisory, International Tax, Strategy & Operations Consulting. The underlying and overriding thematic areas that now guide our professional support to our clients include Climate Action, International Trade, Public & Development Sectors and the Digital Economy.

We the #HumansOfFie spent the past 7 years tuning our consulting instruments; and now we are playing in the theatre as the maestros we have grown to be. We invite you all to be part of this great performance as we play the jazzy #SymphonyOfAfricaRenaissance over the next 7 years!
