So what's this newsletter?

Earlier in 2021, I was invited to be a guest on the First Serve Podcast by Sina Haghighat (listen here)

Titled ‘The Spiritual Journey Onwards' (a clever play on my own podcast title), this episode dived into:

• how and why spirituality became a part of my life,
• the lessons I’ve learnt through the time I’ve spent exploring spirituality since I was a teenager (which seems far, far long ago now),
• the role it plays across all aspects of my life, and the values and perspectives I hold today,
• some honest revelations about how I used to think and what I know I still have to learn.

Through some unexpectedly great feedback (and I'm not being humble, I genuinely didn’t expect it!), I was told that the episode allowed people to understand much more about ME - what makes me tick, how & why I think the way I do. The questions I was asked gave the chance for me to offer some valuable insights that I hadn't previously given myself the chance to reflect on and verbalise.

I'd be a hypocrite not to follow my words

One piece of feedback really stuck with me... I was told by a friend, whose opinion I value highly, that he felt the depth of honesty, valuable learnings and personal touch deserved to be turned into short-form articles of the key of the key points so they could reach greater audiences. And after the common contemplation of 'what makes me think people would even be interested in reading something written by me?', I'd be a hypocrite to tell my own podcast guests that 'even if one person gets value from your story, then it's already a great success', and then not follow my own words!!

???So over the next few weeks, every other Wednesday I’ll be releasing a 90SecondDigest where I’ll provide a 90 second (or less) summary of one of the key takeaways. This will involve a mix of:

- ?personal stories and anecdotes;

-??key learnings from my own experiences and others’ teachings; and

-??my views on some of the great questions asked by Sina!

?? I’ve then provided more context in the article snippets around what was discussed in the episode. If you find any of the topics relevant, I’d love to hear your views and own experiences on it – even if it disagrees with mine (actually, especially if it does!)
