Hello
And, happy Friday to those who have the luxury to take the weekend off.?
Businesses often ask us about translation quality. So, we thought we’d give a quick overview.
For some of your business content, basic translation is the perfect solution (for example, product manuals). For other content, like your marketing materials, you need localization and extensive proofreading and editing.?
Here is a summary of the different translation quality levels you can select on the Taia platform.
Level 5: Translation with Revision and Additional Proofreading?
- Quality level:? ultimate level in terms of quality and accuracy.
- Cost: most pricey option because of the number of experts used to complete your project.?
- Speed of delivery: due to the amount of resources used and the excellent quality, it does take more time. Our clients do have the option to select priority delivery for an additional fee if they need their project delivered that much faster.
- Best solution: for documents and content intended for publication. Ideal for literature, theses, articles, marketing materials and marketing campaigns.
- Process: once your content is translated, a qualified translator and a bilingual revisor review your project. Then, a professional proofreader, native in the target language, finalizes the process, making sure that your content sounds natural and reads perfect in every way.?

Level 4: Translation with Revision
- Quality level: excellent.
- Cost: higher-end in terms of cost since multiple professional and technical resources are used.?
- Speed of delivery: next day delivery available for smaller word counts or for an additional fee.
- Best solution: for documents and content intended for publication. This includes websites and marketing materials.
- Not recommended: for very precise legal or compliance documents, or theses.
- Process: a qualified native linguist translates, reviews and revises your project. Then a bilingual revisor will make sure there are no errors in your translation, ensuring the translation is nothing short of excellent.
Level 3: Basic Translation
- Quality level: good.
- Cost: a cost-effective option since the translator uses AI-translation technology to support the process.
- Speed of delivery: same and next day delivery available at a fee (subject to word count).
- Best solution: for straightforward translations and content you need to be translated accurately (eg. product descriptions, instruction manuals, and surveys).
- Not recommended: for marketing materials or publications that require a specific style.?
- Process: a qualified translator works on your project with the aid of AI-translation technology, ensuring that the translation is accurate and that it effectively corresponds with the original text.?
Level 2: Machine Translation with Light Review (MT + LR)
- Quality level: fair.
- Cost: relatively affordable (light resources required).
- Speed of delivery: same day delivery at a fee (subject to word count) and next day delivery available.
- Best solution: for quick translations and when the quality doesn’t need to be superb. Ideal for content intended for internal use, like memos and emails.
- Not recommended: for translations for the wider public.
- Process: after the Machine Translation is completed, a qualified translator will briefly review your translation and make sure the most obvious errors are corrected.
Level 1: Machine Translation (MT)
- Quality level: better than generic, public MTs.
- Cost: best option in terms of pricing (least resources used).
- Speed of delivery: super fast delivery available.
- Best solution: for translation of simple texts for a better understanding.
- Not recommended: for translations destined for the wider public.
- Process: Machine Translation allows you to upload your text to the Taia platform and, with the assistance of AI-technology, helps you translate your text at the click of a button.?
