Meet the Team

JP Segura, Executive Director

As one of the founding members of SGC, JP Segura is involved in all aspects of the business including operations and growth.? JP's favorite parts of his functional role include developing customized delivery strategies that enable client success and working with SGC's internal team members to improve the quality and performance of our practice.?

With over 15+ years of federally focused subcontracting and staff augmentation experience, JP has had the opportunity to work with a number of client partners in the federal civilian and defense space.? Our principles of Trust, Integrity, and Results are core beliefs that we strive to make a part of the fabric of our company and our team members embody that.

Personally, JP enjoys dinners with family friends, college football, and combat related sports.? Outside of work and spending time with family, JP is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt and enjoys the community, mental, and physical challenge of the complex martial art. Reach out to JP

Pat Ward, Vice President of Recruiting

As Vice President of Recruiting with SGC, Pat is tasked with setting the strategic direction for recruitment initiatives to meet organizational goals. His responsibilities include managing a team of recruiters and crafting sourcing strategies for various roles.

Pat was born in California and raised in Virginia where he graduated from James Madison University with his bachelor's degree. He's Ravens and Orioles fan and enjoys working out, playing golf, flag football and hanging with the family. His favorite show is Survivor. Reach out to Pat

Mike Lee, Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager with SGC, Mike is tasked with outreach to organizations within our industry that could benefit from our services. Building relationships, growing accounts, and providing our delivery team with qualified information to win.

Mike is originally from New York, so he's a big Yankees and Giants fan. He enjoys working out and doing anything outdoors - Playing softball, golf, fishing, hunting. His favorite TV show of all time is Breaking Bad, there are (really) too many movies to pick from. Reach out to Mike

John Cookman, Technical Recruiter

Experienced Talent Consultant with a primary focus on technical positions ranging anywhere between help desk associates to a CTO. Aside from largely recruiting with a technical focus, John has experience in multiple industries including but not limited to Finance, HR, Biotech, and Construction. John joined the SGC team in the summer of ‘23.

He was born in the DMV and is a graduate from the University of Baltimore.?John is a big fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Commanders and has seen the Office more times than he is proud to admit. Reach out to John

Morgan Gregis, Technical Recruiter

Morgan has been in Talent Consulting in 2019 and has been with the SGC team since spring of '23. She has experience in finding top talent in the areas of IT/Engineering, HR, Accounting/Finance, and Creative spaces, with a current primary focus on IT/Engineering.

She is originally from Pennsylvania, home of the Utz Potato Chip and Hershey Chocolate. With over 10 plants, she considers herself a bit of a green thumb. She loves animals, design and art, cabin trips, DIY home projects, and music - her favorite music artist is Fred Again.. who has been her #1 artist on Spotify Wrapped 3 years in a row - can we make it a 4th?

SGC Referral Program

Referral programs can offer numerous proven benefits.

Did you know about SGC's referral program?

The SGC Employee Referral Program is targeted at attracting the best and brightest from our internal networks, communities, and personal contacts.

We want to keep the program simple and easy to use:

  • Depending on the level of the position, skill set, and clearance required, reward values can range from $300-$1,500.
  • There are additional financial rewards for referrals on specific key positions. Bounty Bonuses will be $500 or better and are subject to the same criteria as a general referral.?
  • Referring is EASY! Simply submit a copy of your referral's resume to [email protected] and CC your SGC Point of Contact with the position you are referring them to.

The Fine Print:

Eligibility to receive referral awards is open to all regular SGC Employees.

  • All referral bonuses are subject to applicable federal, state and local tax withholding. ??
  • Referral awards paid to employees are taxable income; taxes are withheld at the time of payment.
  • Referral awards are paid by normal payroll once the referred employee has been employed by SGC for 90 days.
  • Open to Active and Former SGC Employees
  • Each employee referral resume will be maintained in our system for one year from the date the referral was processed in our system, and you will be eligible.
  • Again, the goal is to pay you! We hope you understand there are extenuating circumstances that we cannot anticipate but we must reserve the right to adjust payment if a situation calls for it.

Are you looking to become more 'searchable' on LinkedIn?

There could be a few small changes you can make to make a big difference:

  • Customized Headlines - This can be a great way to personalize and boost your LinkedIn profile. Good headlines include skills and expertise (i.e., Passionate Educator, Change Management Champion, Developer in (x) technologies).
  • Key Words/Skills - Adding 'action item' key words and technology key words to your bio and/or position description - recruiters often search by key words and skills, and this makes it easier for your profile to be highlighted.
  • Certifications - Have a certification you're looking to utilize? Depending on the position, recruiters will make certifications a priority in their search. Keeping the certifications on file, dates current, and even adding them into your headline can be a great way to get noticed.
