Introduction to the Scrum Framework

Scrum is a leading Agile framework for managing complex software and product development projects. It emphasizes core values such as planning ahead and inspecting and adapting to handle uncertainty and ambiguity early in a project.

Scrum divides projects into time-boxed iterations called Sprints, typically lasting no more than a month. Planning is flexible and based on team-determined requirements. Effective communication, particularly face-to-face interaction, is encouraged among self-organizing, cross-functional teams consisting of both business stakeholders and technical experts.

The Scrum team comprises key roles: the Scrum Master, who facilitates team progress, and the Product Owner, who represents users and customers. Together, they maintain a prioritized list of features called the Scrum Product Backlog. Features are developed iteratively, encompassing coding, testing, integration, and delivery phases. After each Sprint, a feedback session known as a Sprint Review occurs, where stakeholders evaluate the delivered feature. This feedback informs subsequent Sprints.
