2. Types of Glass Equipment by Schiatti

While Schiatti Angelo offers a wide range of equipment, including the ability to custom produce to meet any specification. Let's mention a few of the most commonly provided solutions for companies like yours:

  • Straight-Line Edging Machines: These are used for grinding and polishing the edges of flat glass. They process different glass thicknesses from 1/8" to 3" on standard models and can produce various edge finishes such as flat with arris, pencil profiles, OG, and various others including variable mitering for butt-glazing panels.

  • Horizontal Double Edging Lines: These lines consists of two machines with a transfer table and are take on the highest production environments running 24/7/365. As they process two sides of the glass in a single pass with one fixed side, glass exits these lines perfectly square. Capable of producing flat with arris or pencil edge profile.

  • Automatic Vertical Edging Lines: The Turnover Line was a unique solution designed to automate processing of glass in vertical position, where often the glass is not perfectly square and that double edging solutions cannot accommodate. This product allows our partners to processes varying thicknesses, sizes, and out of square glass with uninterrupted production. It pairs 4 vertical edging machines with a special turning device to process all four sides of the glass without operator interference, simply load and unload the line and the equipment does the rest.
