Introduction to our Quality Gurus

I’m writing this Article with the intent to shed some light on the history of Quality Management System and contribution of Quality Gurus in achieving Operational Excellence. Quality management is a systematic process of managing the whole operational activities to design and develop a quality product or service. The basic quality management principles contributed to the “Operational Excellence” are derived from the concepts of Quality Experts, they are recognized as the “Quality Gurus”, Organizations in the modern era following them for the betterment of their products and services.

As per Total Quality Management curriculum, 7 individual are honored as “Quality Gurus”, the list is as follows:

2.??????Dr. Joseph M Juran

3.??????Philip B Crosby

4.??????Shigeo Shingo

5.??????Dr. Genichi Taguchi

6.??????Dr. Kaoru Ishikawa

7.??????Armand V Feigenbaum

Quality Gurus says “Organisations QMS should focuses on the customer’s needs and expectations". Every employee (top-bottom) in the Organisation is responsible for the quality of the products and services. Quality culture helps Organisations to deliver Operational Excellence, in turn that helps to retain the customers, satisfied customers are loyal to their service providers.

In later posts, we will discuss on the Quality Concepts, Frameworks and Methodologies from each “Quality Guru”.
