Introduction to my Clan
I see the emblem of my clan, as I have an affinity for birds as messengers it would seem.
In dreams, my life emblem was revealed to be a hawk, my spirit clan emblem a raven,
and the cuckoo as an unknown magic image.
I’ve had contact with owls, seagulls, and swans as messenger of my clan.
(through dreams and in the physical world). What is it with birds I wonder?
Maybe someday I’ll figure it out. All I know is that it is time now to meditate
and heal with Cordelia, flowers and hummingbirds…
Springs Immortality.
The buds awake at touch of Spring, From Winter’s joyless dream;
From many a stone the black birds sing. By yonder mossy stream.
The cuckoo’s voice, from copse and vale ,Lingers ,as if to meet
The Music of the nightingale .Across the rising wheat-
The bird whom ancient Solitude Hath Kept for ever young,
Unaltered since in studious mood ,Calm dawn mused and sung.
Ah ,strange it is dear heart ,to know Spring’s gladsome mystery.
Was sweet to lovers long ago-Most sweet to such as we-
That fresh new leaves and meadow flowers .Bloomed when the south wind came ;
While hands of Spring caressed the bowers, The Raven watched the season change.
Unchanged ,unchanged the dawn song, Unchanged Springs answering breath,
Unchanged ,though cruel Times was strong
And stilled our love in death.

Located in south west Wales ,one of the thirteen historic counties and to day one of the principal areas of Wales.
Richard 1 was a direct descendent of the family Rees of Killymaenllwyd, county Carmarthen.
This Connection of descendents is most likely as follows;
Griffith Rhys, Prince of South Wales , married Lady Gwenlain, daughter of Griffith Cynan, Prince of North Wales
their son Rhys Griffith, Prince of South Wales.
Lord Rhys was Chief Justice of South Wales 1171,who married Lady Gwenlain,

before becoming king, however, he lived for most of his adult life in the Duchy of Aquitaine in the
southwest of France. Following his accession he spent very little time, perhaps as little as six months,
in England; most of his life as king was spent on Crusade, in captivity, or in actively defending his lands
in France. Rather than regarding his kingdom as a responsibility requiring his presence
as ruler, he has been perceived as preferring to use it merely as a source of revenue to support his armies.
Nevertheless, he was seen as a pious hero by his subjects. He remains one of the few kings of England
remembered as an enduring iconic figure both in England and France.
His father Henrey11of England (5 March 1133 – 6 July 1189), also known as Henry Plantagenet,
ruled as Count of Anjou,Count of Maine, Duke of Normandy, Duke of Aquitaine, Count of Nantes,
ruled as king of England(1154–89) and Lord of Ireland and he also controlled Wales,
The French Rees Family
Interestingly this may be the reason why there is a French Rees family name first found in Burgundy
an historical region of east central France where the Rees Family has held a family seat since ancient times.
The surname Rees means a person of regal bearing ,going further back the name Rees was derived from
the old French word “Roy” meaning King.
The name Reis in Portugal also has the meaning of King
Or maybe these Rees families are due to the early migrations of Celtic Tribes.
Who were the race of Aryans from the Eurasian steppe created and empire before 300BC that included
the British Isles.
Parts of the Iberian Peninsula, Gaul (to days France) North Italy, Belgium, Holland ,a great part of Germany,
Austria and parts of Asia Minor, being a group of Indo-European Celtic tribes.
This empire existed for some centuries before 300BC The Celtic Tribes introduced Iron ending the
Bronzeage and took over most of Europe to the West , South and East due to their skills of making iron
and their strong weapons made of iron. Ending the Bronze age
Wild Roses and Snow
How sweet the sight of roses In country side of June,
When every flower uncloses to meet the kiss of noon,
How strange the sight of roses-Roses both sweet and wild-
Seen where a valley closes Mid mountain heights up-piled
Upon the sides remaining ,Is strewn with the purest snow .
By its Chill power restraining ,The tide of Spring’s soft glow.
Yet God who gave the pureness To yon fair mountain snow .
Gives also the sacredness ,Whereby these roses blow.
