As an HP DesignJet owner, you may have wondered what else is out there in the market which might help take your business to the next level. Without being presumptuous, what I mean by that is that a different type of printer can potentially offer you new and different revenue streams that you're currently unable to realise.
If you hadn't already heard, the 'next level up' range of printers are exciting and use quite a different type of ink compared to your current HP DesignJet printer. These printers were first introduced in 2009 and are "perfect all-rounders". The catch is that they cost a little more to purchase but conversely they're also cheaper to run. They are the professional go-to choice for outdoor printing since the prints don't need to be laminated for outdoor use (all outdoor prints made by HP DesignJets need to be laminated) - and they are the absolute "green choice" option when compared against their counterpart eco-solvent printers in the marketplace.
So...without further ado, let me introduce you to the next level up - HP Latex Printers!
For a little extra investment over and above the cost of your current HP DesignJet printer, you'll be able to print an unlimited number of applications including:
Vinyl prints, stickers, posters, wallpaper printing, canvases, pop-ups, vehicle wrapping, billboards, banners, displays, exhibition graphics, floor graphics, wall decals, window graphics, labels, customisable clothing, textile printing (including high saturation textiles), backlit graphics for light boxes, maps, point of sale and point of purchase posters and much more. The video below helps you to explore some of the different applications.
The good news is that HP offer great trade-in deals for your old DesignJet to help offset the cost of a new HP Latex printer. At the same time we can also offer you a good finance deal to help spread the cost over 1-5 years.
Latex printing offers fast, high quality, ready-to-deliver prints, using leading HP Latex Technology. The Latex Ink themselves are water-based inks with a latex coating and produce vivid colours and smooth transitions. When compared against eco-solvent printers the Latex Ink is non combustible, non flammable, odorless and requires no special ventilation - making it perfect for use in hospitals, retirement homes, schools and much more. Due to the construct of the ink, the Latex printer will even produce high quality results on low cost substrates - which can save you a lot of money.
The HP Latex Printer can either be purchased as a stand-alone printer or as part of a full Print and Cut Solution where a separate machine will cut out your prints (ideal for stickers, wall and window decals etc).
To show you how powerful this product is for a business, here's a quick example in the video below, demonstrating how a restaurant could change their interior in 30 minutes, leading to zero downtime for that business. Imagine the possibilities...
Hotels and Cruise Ships offering bespoke interiors for high-end customers, quick refresh of shop premises with no closures while refitting, fast way to decorate schools, hospitals, business premises - or even a way to quickly decorate your own home. Businesses could add additional products to their core offerings e.g. builders don't have to just stop at the house build - they could provide 'add-on' business such as offering bespoke decoration - and open out a whole host of potential future income possibilities. A wine merchant could print stickers at Christmas to personalise each bottle of wine - the list is endless.
Then, quite aside from this, you can factor in the ability to create your own vehicle wrapping, signage, window decals, bespoke textiles and personalised clothing - on top of all the "normal" print stuff that you do - like posters/plans/maps. Do you feel excited yet?!
With HP Latex Printers you'll also receive free software (HP Signage Suite and HP WallArt Suite) which will allow you to design and print quickly and easily - with no prior experience needed. In fact, having never previously used this software, I was able to walk straight up to it at a recent HP event and create/print my own T-Shirt Design. Below are two videos giving you a little more information about this software:
