EGGER Protect is an inherently sustainable structural floorboard and features a thermally bonded surface on both sides. This makes it the ideal product for domestic flooring, refurbishments, renovations and new-build projects, as well as modular and timber frame constructions. With our P5 chipboard at its core, it is a strong and sustainably sourced product - perfect for housebuilders.

At EGGER, product quality is key, with all our products undergoing rigorous testing procedures to ensure they meet the required and expected standards. Did you know that we conduct six main tests on our EGGER Protect boards? Carried out at our onsite laboratory in our Hexham plant, these tests are designed to further guarantee the quality of the products we supply. Of course, product reliability isn’t something we just focus on in the lab - it also extends to the board’s working life, with the hard-wearing surface layer offering protection against moisture ingress and leaking pipes once works are completed. This top layer means our EGGER Protect boards can be left exposed to the elements for up to 60 days! It’s a great benefit for housebuilders, who can install the structural flooring and then continue work on other areas of the build, before making the homes watertight. There’s also no need to worry about damaging the boards, with the top layer robust enough to protect against foot traffic, dropped tools or spilled paint. Not to mention the unreliable Great British weather, which can often delay projects or surprise us with a rain shower.
