Key terms and concepts include: When dealing with the Dell Boomi AtomSphere platform, there are various terminologies and ideas to be aware of. Here are a few of the most important ones:

  • Atom:- Atoms are lightweight run-time engines that store and execute process configuration information.
  • Component:- Components are process-specific reusable configuration objects.
  • Connector:- Connectors allow data to flow into and out of processes.
  • Environment:- Users establish environments for testing and production purposes.
  • Document:- A document is a collection of data that undergoes a procedure.
  • Execution:- The outcome of running a process is execution.
  • Map:- Maps allow data to be transformed from one format to a different
  • Process:- Processes are a single form of data that may be used to connect two or more systems. They are made up of a number of phases (represented by shapes in the user interface) that define the transformation needs and business logic.
  • Profile:- The structure and arrangement of the data to be processed are defined by profiles. They're utilized while reading or writing in a certain format.


Boomi Integration application: The Dell Boomi Integration application includes tools for developing, implementing, and managing processes and their dependent components at various stages of the integration lifecycle.

Connectors are used by processes to receive and deliver data. The Start shape on the left is the starting point for all processes. Within a process, there can be any number of execution and logic forms. One or more outbound connections on the right usually mark the conclusion of a procedure. When a process is run, the inbound connector in the Start shape receives the data (for example, via an FTP GET, a database SELECT query, or a web service request) and delivers it into the process as one or more documents. Documents progress through the process stages in order, with each shape performing a specific action on the data before passing it on to the next.


Boomi Integration navigation: Dell Boomi Integration's navigation experience is geared to let you easily access different parts of the integration lifecycle. The major menus and tabs are accessible from everywhere on the platform and point to the many core components of the programme, such as Dashboard, Build, Deploy, Embed, and Manage.

Integration management:

You may see the outcomes of process executions, administrate Atoms, troubleshoot process issues, and manually conduct processes from the Manage menu. The single portal can track process activity for all Atoms in your account, whether they're hosted or installed locally. You may look at the process logs, check how many records were processed, look at the actual document contents, retry documents, and much more. Cloud Management, Boomi Assure, Process Library, and Integration Packs are only displayed on the Manage menu if they have been activated in your account.
