1. What is Binary?

  • 0 = OFF (light bulb is off) Ask them to imagine controlling a light bulb with binary code!

3. Convert Letters to Binary

Introduce how each letter in the alphabet has a unique binary code. For example:

  • A = 01000001
  • B = 01000010

Kids can create a fun activity where they can convert their names into binary!

4. Binary Pixel Art

Give kids a grid (like a 5x5 square) and use 1 for black squares and 0 for white squares. When they fill in the grid with binary, they create a picture!

5. Hands-On Games

  • Use colored beads or blocks (e.g., red for 1, blue for 0) to create binary patterns.
  • Make a treasure hunt where clues are hidden in binary code.

Show them that binary is used in everyday things like computer screens, phones, and even music files!
