Introducing Your New Favorite Feline Superhero: Tigwick

Two years ago I had a conversation with my cat Tigger (yes, all cat people do this; don't you?) about what he does when I go hang out with friends. Or why sometimes he's impossible to find when I look for him.
And in his adorable little way, he told me about how he is an intergalactic superhero who saves the universe from a presence that wants to suck the life out of existence.
Maybe I was watching a ton of Marvel films at the time (that's very likely), but what came out of that was an adventure series I started called Adventures Of Tigwick.
Tigger is the main character and narrator.
I started reading episodes on a social audio app (Wisdom, now Noom Vibe) and Tigger built up a following. Over time I wrote 43 episodes that became season 1 of the series.
But I pressed pause on writing it after starting up the Growth Farming platform where my other stories and mini-novels are. And every week, Tig meows/chirps extra loud as if to tell me that he wants his series back.
So here we are.
Some of you have seen this feisty and chirpy little dude on my zoom calls.
But if you haven't here's your introduction to him.
If you want me to bring the full Adventures Of Tigwick series here to The Resplendent Window on LinkedIn, let me know.
And if you want to support Tig in his quest to get trained in ninjitsu, grab the first 5 episodes here.

Adventures Of Tigwick Episode One
I’m going to tell you something that I’m not supposed to. It has to do with your life, your peace and ultimately the fate of the universe.
Yes I know, that sounds pretty cliche now.
You have superheroes everywhere. And all of them are “vying for the safety of life as we know it.”
But here’s the truth: all of your stories, comic books, and heroes are imitations of the real thing.
And that’s ok.
We’ve been doing the universe a huge service for a few millennia without complaints (or without very many) and everything has gone pretty good. Well, until recently that is.
The world as you know it is at a crisis. On one hand there’s a global pandemic spread by a virus, on another hand there’s a growing economic crisis amongst industries and countries as a whole. On another hand, wait you only have two hands so let’s bring it closer to home...
On another paw, there’s a drastically declining sense of peace amongst people, flaring tensions, addictions to all manner of things from drugs to whatever those little objects are that you carry around and look at nonstop that you call a “phone” but rarely ever talk on, and an almost total collapse of mental and emotional well being amongst communities and peoples.
And yes, there are wonderful people doing the best they can to bring Love and peace to the world. There are teachers, writers, coaches, practitioners and guides in all sorts of fields who practice and promote meditation, mindfulness, self-care, and self-Love.
And many people’s lives have changed for the better. Kudos for that!
But you as a human species are getting to a breaking point.
And I’m gong to have to break my silence to urge you to do your part to turn the tide or you might see the whole planet come apart at the seams.
Now you might be wondering, who am I to make such big claims.
If you just took one look at me, you wouldn’t take me seriously for a second.
Because I’m hiding in plain sight.
We all are. That’s how we’ve been able to do our Divine, God-given work for so long. But too many of us have been losing hope and not fighting the good fight. We’ve been too influenced by the negative and lackadaisical behaviors of people that many like me have just given up.
And that’s terrible news. Because the fate of this universe is up to us to protect.
Who are we?
We’re your Bamatrathons. Or “Pets” as you call us. Yeah, you read that right.
Dogs, cats, parakeets, gerbils and hamsters, turtles, lizards, snakes and even kangaroos (go to Australia to see the real kind), if an animal has become domesticated, you might call it your pet, but it’s really been given a job bestowed by the Great Creator to serve and protect all that is good in the universe.
So this is what we do. How do we do it? Different ways. I can only speak for myself.
Where do we fight the good fight? In the far expanses of the cosmos, fighting terrors and monsters that want to eradicate any sense of hope and peace in worlds of living things. Worlds like earth.
It’s the responsibility of humans to save and protect humans, to promote kindness and Love as the way of harmony and healthy relationships on this planet.
It’s our job as Bamatrathons, err I mean “pets,” to safeguard you, nurture you, encourage you (you being humans), and also to fight the true evil that wants to bring destruction and the end to life as you know it.
What’s this evil’s ultimate power? Indifference.
Have you experienced it? It’s not Love. It’s not hate. The power of indifference is not feeling anything. It’s a black hole that sucks out your heart and leaves you with nothing. No purpose. No fulfillment. No cares. No passion.
I’ve spent my life, five of them so far, fighting against the forces of the Inzecticon, the great evil of the universe. And no, it’s not a giant insect or spider as the name might imply. That’s just a coincidence. I don’t know where the name came from. That’s just what it's called.
Ok, so what am I? You might be wondering.
I have a few names.
My comrades and team mates call me Chuck Meoris, yes after your fabled action movie star, in part because I’m damn good at what I do. But my codename is a mixture of what my human calls me, and another of you movie superheroes.
Simply put, you can call me Tigwick.
I get my assignments from an amiable little fellow who sometimes has difficulty keeping his focus and also struggles with telling me important details of my next mission.
I call him Gus, though I’m not sure if that’s an alias or just what he prefers. I’ve not heard any of his kind call him by that name.
We have a pretty standard setup. I go to the bay window in my posted location, aka the house my human and I live in, and this furry little guy named Gus, scurries up the tree outside and tells me what my next mission is.
He talks really fast and often mixes things up. I have to chatter at him to repeat things. Sometimes I bat at the window for him to slow down. And sometimes he gets distracted by the lady friends and scampers off to chase them. Since he’s not domesticated, the discipline of focus and detailed communication aren’t his specialty.
But I’m patient.
It makes me good at what I do.
Once I have my orders and mission, I go to my secret spot and load up. I’ve been really good at being covert about this. I can disappear from my human for hours and he has no idea where I am. And it helps that my human goes out a lot too. Sometimes he takes long trips. Which gives me plenty of time to do my mission and get back unnoticed.
But something’s changed.
My human is onto me. We cats have long had a telepathic ability to read the minds and hearts of humans. That’s why you’ll find us snuggling in when you feel lonely, lost, or unloved.
Giving Love is how we fight the battles to save the universe. We just do it differently with humans that we do when we’re on our missions.
And yes, dogs do this too. Or some do at least.
The fluffy, spunky, excited and lovable pooches who fawn over you from the moment you wake up to the second you go to sleep are some of our best warriors. Love pumps through their veins at a high octane. But sometimes all that enthusiasm can get a little annoying, at least to me. I try to not let it bother me. I’ve been assigned and partnered with a dog who is incredibly excited and enthusiastic. He’s sometimes hard to keep up with. But you’ll see that for yourself later.
So how do we fight the Inzecticon army? With something like ray guns that shoot Love and Peace. That’s right, no bullets or lasers. I’m like Rocket Raccoon meets John Wick (hence the name, my human calls me Tigger).
I’m the best there is at what I do. I’ve got a special invisible ship that takes me to the far ends of the galaxy and beyond.
There, the threat looms.
Armies of monsters spreading indifference, hate and depression, trying to suck the life out of existence are spread across the far reaches of space.
It’s up to us to keep this threat away. We use the power of Love given to us from the Divine Creator to turn back the tide and keep your planet safe.
And we need your help.
Because if humans lose hope and the world falls to indifference, we can’t keep the enemy away any longer.
That’s why I’ve broken my silence. I’ll share with you my adventures here to give you hope and inspiration for the work that you must do to heal this world.
