This photo was taken a year ago, as I attended the NZ Rugby Awards and soaked up everything about what rugby and sport in general means to this country and many others. Beyond the skill we celebrate on the field, sport represents the pursuit of excellence, great sportsmanship, camaraderie and community.

Surrounded by legends, I made the decision to relentlessly pursue my vision to create an app that would support the thousands of coaches, managers, parents and players with a technology that’s ‘good for the game’. 

Fast forward 12 months and cheering from the sideline has just become easier with the release of our groundbreaking new web app allowing parents, friends and family to watch NZ-based grassroots sports games live, anywhere in the world.

As well as world class live streaming and on demand video replay, SidelineApp offers a controlled and safe environment for schools to foster team spirit off the field by providing online notice boards, social feeds and other ‘always on’ channels through which players and coaches can communicate.

The SidelineApp pilot is available to all schools in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Super 8 Competition, and there are an additional eight places for any Auckland secondary school that competes in a national or regional tournament.
