Introducing Two New Table Designs

LINK Design Studio is proud to introduce the Arie Side Tables and Vela Dining Table designed by Michael Stolworthy. These unique marble and cast aluminum sculptural pieces offer an element of functional art to the LINK collection. The Vela Table brings an airy vibe of solid marble atop a fluid, curving base while the Arie table incorporates the organic waves of soft curves and refined edges that add a dynamic element when paired with other furniture from the company’s extensive range. Both pieces are available in either a white Indian Satvario marble or Cosmic Black hand-carved stone along with a range of powder-coat aluminum bases.

Michael Stolworthy describe nature as the primary source of inspiration for both the Vela and Arie introductions. “I love to visit the ocean and watch the waves,” says Stolworthy. “The curves and undulations always speak to me.” This idea sculpted itself into gestures and expressions that then evolved into the swirling base of the dining table and the grooves of the side table. He focused primarily on scale and proportion as the designs evolved through the prototyping process.

Stolworthy began collaborating with LINK’s design director Marc Kurlander in 2014 when they worked in unison to birth the Transcend Table for the Jewel collection. These new pieces continue to explore the fluid shapes that merge the teak and metal offerings with new materials and refined aesthetics. As well as being beautiful additions to the LINK collection, these pieces are also create from materials that are able to withstand the natural elements, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor settings.
