Introducing Together She Leads

Introducing Together She Leads

If you’re reading this, you might be:

  • ?? Looking to step into your first management role.
  • Wondering how to position yourself as a strong candidate for promotion. ??
  • Curious how to keep track of everything you have going on now
  • Navigating the challenges of gaining leadership experience without a formal management title.

Or maybe you’re one of my former colleagues at Wisetail (Hi! I miss you all! ????) or part of my personal “board of directors” — the incredible women in my life who are crushing it professionally and personally.

If you know me personally, you might already be familiar with my “why” — that Simon Sinek-style big WHY behind what I do.

If you don’t (and because I love talking about it anyway), let me share a bit about what drives me and how it ties into Together She Leads.

My Why

It all started in my first economics class at the American School of Paris. While economics might not seem like an emotional subject, I was hooked — especially when we studied the growth of developing nations and the pivotal role women played in that process.

The women.

The matriarchs who cared for and provided for their families.

The women who, when given access to skills, resources, and institutions, transformed not only their own lives but those of their families, communities, and nations.

When women gained personal agency and the tools to participate in markets, they saved more, weathered financial shocks, increased their earning potential, and created ripple effects of growth and stability.

I was captivated.

While I didn’t pursue economics as a career, this concept — that empowering people can create profound, far-reaching impact — has been the red thread guiding my career over the past decade.

I’ve witnessed this concept play out in real life. It has been the warehouse manager in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who provided a stable life for his son after thriving in his role and earning a promotion. (And displayed the post-it note he received from his son on that first day as a manager in his office still) It’s the customer service representative who stepped into her first management position, earning a significant raise and the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Work is hard — sometimes very hard. But work can also transform lives, families, and communities when people are equipped with the right resources. That’s what I’m passionate about: empowering driven, motivated individuals with everything they need to succeed and thrive.

The Power of Support

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have a network of incredible support. Whether it was my Dad (ILY!), my aunt and uncle with decades of corporate experience, or countless peers, I always had someone I could call to make sense of a situation as my "phone a friend."

That support has been invaluable. And it’s a big reason why I decided to create the Together She Leads community.

Why Now?

Last December, I transitioned out of my role as Director of Client Success at Wisetail — an organization that was on my dream company list for years and that I continue to believe in wholeheartedly.

This decision came after several intense years, both personally and professionally. During this professional period of time, I:

  • Completed grad school and earned my Master’s in Information and Communication Science
  • Took on the ultimate challenge of 280 Hard (my version of 75 Hard) — having a baby boy
  • Experienced several personal losses alongside my husband

It was a time of immense growth and opportunity, and I could not have moved through that all without the support of my workplace, manager, peers, and friends. At the same time, after that marathon of a few years, it was time to take a sabbatical and pursue a few goals that had been on the back burner.

One of those dreams? Together She Leads.

Introducing Together She Leads

Together She Leads is my vision of a supportive, empowering community for women who aspire to lead or are already in leadership roles.

It’s about equipping women with the network, education, and resources we all wish we had when we first stepped into management. My goal is for every woman in her career to feel confident, capable, secure, and ready to thrive.

This is incredible Rebecca! Although we only worked "together" for a short time with my Wisetail implementation, you were fantastic to work with, and I am wishing you all the best in this endeavor. As the father of three daughters, I know they need role models like you as they learn and grow! And I will absolutely share this with my wife. She is a growing leader in the healthcare industry, and I think she will be excited about this!
