Introducing: TinkerList
I've had many conversations with various toy industry executives about the inventing community over the years. Something has always stood out to me. Many of them didn't know what products came from inventors. And how would they? Outside of individual inventor websites, a few random social media posts, and the TAGIE awards https://www.chitag.com/2019-tagie-awards-submissions that recognize some of the inventors, a comprehensive list of what the inventing community contributes to our industry, as a whole, simply doesn't exist. Only strange Inventor Relations (IR) unicorns like myself and a few others keep tabs on this information for our industry. But it's a story worth telling and the inventors deserve to be recognized. The toy and games inventing community is larger than most realize, and the collective contribution is astonishing. Never before have inventors had a communal place to promote themselves, and share their success. Until now.
Introducing TinkerList: the first consolidated inventor item list for the toy and game industry.
Please note: TinkerList is an evolving project, and not 100% comprehensive (that's close to impossible but you can't fault us for trying). But nonetheless, I hope you'll find it meaningful, entertaining and eye opening.
We have only accepted listings from select inventors to populate TinkerList for launch, but we are now ready to accept new listings to grow TinkerList into what we know it can be, a proud representation of a functional relationship between an entire industry and the independent inventing community.
If you would like to participate in the TinkerList, please submit your commercialized toy or game concept via our submission form here:
And to finally answer that reoccurring question of, "Trina, can you give me an example of an inventor item"....Yes, I can! :)
So, for all the rejections, hard negotiations, late nights and tight deadlines...
Cheers to all the inventors! Thank you for all that you do!
