what is Rspack?!

It is a high-performance JavaScript bundler, written in Rust, and is designed to seamlessly replace webpack while offering fast build speeds. Its strong compatibility with the webpack ecosystem ensures a smooth transition for users.

Over the past 18 months, since the initial open-source release of Rspack 0.1, an enthusiastic community of 170 contributors has submitted 5,000+ pull requests and addressed over 2,000 issues.


what’s new in Rspack 1.0?

Enhanced Performance

Rspack 1.0 brings performance boosts through optimisations and features like lazy compilation. Moving forward, Rspack aims to further enhance performance for large-scale applications.

Expanded Compatibility

Rspack now supports almost all webpack loaders, including popular plugins, making migration smoother than ever. Supported frameworks include React , Vue , Svelte , and NestJS .

Minimised Bundle Size

With Rspack’s split chunks, tree shaking, and scope hoisting, projects migrating from webpack see equivalent or improved bundle sizes.

New Module Federation 2.0 Support

Rspack supports the new Module Federation 2.0 for micro-frontend architectures, adding dynamic TS type hints, runtime plugins, and preloading options.

Stable API & New Website

Rspack 1.0 features a stable API and a redesigned website with improved documentation, simplifying integration with high-level tools.
