Introducing the reimagined Adams & Macleod Rooms
Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness
Exceeding expectations with honourable passion through luxury 4-star accommodation and conference facilities.
Located in the grand historic Kingsmills, our two private dining rooms have hosted countless iconic guests – from politicians, local figures and even the esteemed Robert Burns back in 1787… hundreds of years of conversations, chat and beautiful food enjoyed around grand tables.
Whether it be for breakfast, a networking lunch or a gastronomic dinner, gathering around a dinner table fosters connection and camaraderie.?
Today, we’re delighted to unveil a brand new look for our historic dining rooms – blending the historic stately proportions with warm styling that makes for a truly special dinner setting.
The Adams Room
As the fire crackles in the grand hearth, the Adams Room exudes warmth and history. Once a drawing room that welcomed the great poet, this space now offers an intimate setting for candlelit dinners and gatherings.
The walls have been transformed with rich woodland tones, soft vintage verdure panels, and ambient lighting creating an atmosphere of understated luxury.
The team, ever attentive, flow seamlessly in and out of the room which blends exclusivity with atmosphere as it opens through into the lounge.
Each course from the gastronomic menus is served with practiced grace while glasses never run low; the whisper-light touch of the evening host refills each glass. As candles flicker, delicate strains of the grand piano drifts through from the hotels lounge. ??
Opening into the hotel’s vibrant lounge, The Adams Room seamlessly bridges exclusivity with the lively spirit of Kingsmills.
The Macleod Room
With a towering ornate ceiling, the Macleod Room is situated prominently at the front of the hotel. Bathed in natural light from grand windows, the Macleod Room offers a bright and uplifting environment for business lunches and strategy sessions by day.
Restored hardwood floors and Art Deco-inspired lighting add a contemporary touch, while rich, patterned wallpapers nod to the building’s historic character.
As evening falls, the space transforms into an elegant dining destination, where expertly crafted dishes and fine wines set the stage for celebration.?
A Gastronomic Journey
Executive Chef Geoff Malmedy, who has been at the helm of our kitchen for nearly a decade, is the creative influence behind menus. Choices focus on seasonality and showcasing exceptional skill and flair. From family lunches to gastronomic dinners with paired wines, each menu is personalised and unique.?
Whether it’s a bespoke tasting menu, a paired whisky dinner, or a traditional feast with a modern twist, no detail is overlooked.
For those seeking a setting that sparks conversation and creativity, our private dining rooms offer more than just a meal—they provide an experience that lingers long after the last course.
