Introducing Pixel Pushers
I’m a little nervous to be posting this here but whatever, I’ll do it once and then we’ll never speak of it again on this platform ever again. Deal? Deal.
I started writing about the journey behind every app I launch (or torpedo into the ground) at https://pixelpusher.club. The most recent series has been about my attempt to make sunscreen more fun with a new app called LUX (you can download it here):
My stories are more about the art and less the science of creating software. So it’s a tech blog, that is not about the tech. Kind of like a cooking show that is not really about the cooking (i.e. Gordon Ramsay's Uncharted - which is a fantastically wholesome show if you haven't yet seen it).
There will to be a healthy mix of successes and failures. And to be honest, I am hoping there will be more failures from big swings like this incredibly unhinged desire to recreate the Surrogate camera from Arrested Development using my iPhone, a Vision Pro, and a DockKit-enabled Belkin stand.
And there will also be side quest stories that shine a light on a dev or dev team that deserves their moment in the (Croatian) sun such as LookAt with their surprisingly wonderful product at the top of a 2000-year-old fortress.
So if you like stories that read like a stage at the Tour de France (ups, downs, set backs, collisions, more downs, and fleeting triumphs) - please join the peloton and subscribe at https://pixelpusher.club/!
