Introducing our team: Chadi Fawaz, Account Lead

At IMPACT+, our team is the heartbeat of our mission, and today, we're introducing you to Chadi Fawaz , our Account Lead, whose journey from civil engineering to orchestrating operations reflects the diverse skills and backgrounds of our people.

This is the sixth article in our ‘Meet the Team’ series. Q: Chadi, could you share insights into your role and your journey with IMPACT+?

I joined Impact Plus in February 2021 as an Account Manager. Initially responsible for collecting data from our customers and their partners and using our tool to run and present analyses. I then stepped into leading the Operations team as the company expanded. Now, I coordinate all team members in Operations and collaborate closely with the customer success team, focusing on the technical aspects of sustainability calculations and optimizations using our calculator tool.

Q: To get to know you a little better as a person, here's a fun question: what is your go-to karaoke song?

"Freed from Desire". I always like to choose something that gets people jumping!

Q: Ok, that's great! Your education and professional life before IMPACT+ was a little different, right? Can you tell us about that?

??? I studied civil engineering in Lebanon, graduating in 2014, so a little different yes! Working as a transportation engineer, my interest in green projects within engineering grew over time. Moving to France in 2019, I pursued an MBA in Grenoble, where the focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) really captured my attention. Impact Plus aligned perfectly with my interests, blending my skills and background with numbers (from my engineering days) with my interest in business and passion for sustainability.

Q: Was sustainability always important to you, or did your perspective evolve over time?

Sustainability became significant to me gradually. Initially, my passion for wildlife, fueled by documentaries, led me to learn more about climate issues. Wanting to be part of the solution, I discovered my passion for sustainability in my first year in France.

Q: What do you enjoy most about working at IMPACT+?

The team spirit and atmosphere at IMPACT+ are unparalleled. Since the early days with the three co-founders and Pierre Rossinès , the efficient collaboration, diverse personalities, and genuine 'niceness' have created a unique work environment. Watching the team grow while maintaining this spirit has been a great to see. All departments work seamlessly as one team, and being the second employee has been a special journey for me.

Q: Outside of work, what brings you joy and relaxation?

? I'm an avid FC Barcelona fan and football fan in general. And I love animal documentaries - I would love to one day go on a Safari in Africa.
