Bianca Wright, Consultant

Hi, I’m Bianca! I am a nature-lover by birth having spent my younger years surrounded by the tropical forests of south-east Asia.

Prior to Greenheart, I worked at a sustainability consultancy with a stint working in insurance as a catastrophe modeller. These roles have allowed me to learn and grow in two distinct industries and helped me understand the nuances on how different industries can help in the context of making meaningful change.

My spare time is filled with activities, it could be reading a book or doing sudoku puzzles or it could be playing basketball or hitting the gym. I’m always up for trying/experiencing something new.?

On weekends, I usually be found playing or watching sport. I am an avid sport watcher, from golf to formula one to football but I also dip my toes in participating every once in a while. My current sport of choice: Aussie Rules.

Why have you chosen to join the Greenheart ecosystem?

I am very excited to join Greenheart because I know it will provide the perfect ecosystem for me to thrive both personally and professionally. Being surrounded by a team who are so committed to creating change and having such abundant knowledge and experience is very invigorating and I am very excited to get stuck in!

What are the three changes most needed in order for every business to thrive by caring for people and planet as much as profit?

  1. Mindset shift - companies need to shift their mindset from traditional models, and start incorporating triple bottom line principles into their structure.?
  2. Collaboration - inter- and intra-sector collaboration is essential. Businesses should be sharing ideas and methodologies and discussing lessons learnt, to support a just transition for all.
  3. Regulation - policymakers and governments need to work hand-in-hand to send a consistent message and set targets and frameworks to allow the transition to a sustainable economy to be the norm

“In short, our world needs climate action on all fronts - everything, everywhere, all at one,” UN Secretary General António Guterres?

And finally, what brings you the most joy?

Spending time with family & friends.
